May 2008: In response to a request brought forth by the HBI-Boston, Governor Deval Patrick proclaims May 19th, 2008 to be Massachusetts Hepatitis Awareness Day. March 2008: "Public Health Model for Prevention of Liver Cancer Among Asian Americans" in Journal of Community Health. April 28, 2007: HBI-Boston organizes first hepatitis B and liver cancer run/walk with 350 runners and raised over $21,000 for hepatitis B screenings and vaccinations.
